Cold case investigators have made a second arrest in the 2007 shooting death of a Wendy’s restaurant employee.
Isaac Bass was gunned down in the parking lot as he left work on Jan. 27, 2007.
The case went unsolved until Greenville Police Department’s cold case unit arrested Korey Lamar Love in March and charged him with murder, attempted armed robbery, possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime and unlawful possession of a pistol.
Now police have arrested a second man.
Eric Jarod Ransom, 19, whose address was listed as 17 Lane Ave., Apt. 1, Greenville, on arrest warrants, is charged with murder and attempted armed robbery.
Ransom was on active duty with the U.S. Marine Corps in Okinawa, Japan. Greenville Police Sgt. Jason Rampey said Ransom was not in the Marines when the incident occurred.
He was returned to Greenville and is being held at the Greenville County Detention Center without bond.
Police said the Naval Criminal Investigative Service and the San Francisco Police Department Airport Bureau helped with the arrest.
No more arrests are expected in the case, Rampey said.
