Ludwig waives hearing

Next court appearance scheduled for end of August

Published: Aug. 13, 2009

John Ludwig Jr., the Greenville businessman who faces a murder charge in connection with the crash where he drove his Maserati through a house, has waived his right to a preliminary hearing.

The hearing had been scheduled for Aug. 18.

Ludwig’s next court appearance is scheduled for Aug. 26 in Greenville Municipal Court on an unrelated criminal domestic violence charge. His case is one of several on the trial docket for that day.

The April 25 wreck killed 62-year-old Bill Bardsley, who was sitting in his living room watching television.
