The kittens were named Goudy Stout, Stencil, Comic Sans, Ravie, and Wingding. Their names matched the playful “font” theme and soon became part of their charm.
Sadly, the smallest kitten, Wingding, was much weaker than his brothers. He was only about half their size. Despite loving care from his foster mom and every effort to help him survive, he passed away peacefully. He was warm, loved, and never alone in his final moments.
Four Kittens Begin to Thrive
After the loss of Wingding, Font continued caring for her remaining four kittens with steady devotion. Her boys grew quickly, becoming hungry, active, and full of personality.
Goudy Stout, the firstborn, made a dramatic entrance and surprised everyone with extra toes on every paw. Stencil, an orange-and-white kitten, quickly became focused on eating and growing the roundest little belly possible.

A Tiny Orphan Kitten Joins the Family

A lawn care crew found a tiny orange kitten hidden alone in a bush while working. He was only about a week old and had no mother nearby. Coastal Bend Cat Rescue took him in from Animal Care Services and named him Harrington, or Harry for short.
Harry was smaller than Font’s kittens and behind on milestones, but the rescue team believed he might have a chance if Font accepted him.
Their hope was right.
Font Adopts Harry Without Hesitation
When Harry was introduced to Font, she accepted him immediately. She pulled him close and allowed him to join her litter as if he had always belonged there.
Harry settled in beside Goudy Stout, Stencil, Comic Sans, and Ravie without trouble. The rescue joked that Font never even noticed the “typo.”
With that, Font became mother to five orange boys again — four of her own and one adopted kitten who desperately needed her love.
The Kittens Prepare for Their Next Chapter
Under Font’s care, the kittens grew stronger every day. Their eyes opened, their confidence increased, and their personalities became even brighter.
Eventually, The Cattery, a cage-free cat shelter in Corpus Christi, Texas, offered to welcome the kittens ahead of schedule. The little family was ready for the next step toward adoption.
Goudy Stout, Stencil, Comic Sans, Ravie, and Harrington are now looking for forever homes where they can bring playfulness, affection, and plenty of orange-cat personality.
Font Is Ready for Her Own Forever Home
After giving everything to her kittens and even adopting one more, Font is now ready for a new life of her own. She has finished her job as a devoted mother, and now it is her turn to be loved, spoiled, and cared for.
Her rescue hopes she will soon find a family where she can relax and enjoy life without the demands of raising babies.
